Chopsticks for Kids

Chopsticks for Kids
Originally uploaded by pillworm1.
I picked these up in Old Truckee and thought they were adorable. You put the sticks in the legs of the figures and then you can easily use them as chopsticks. Of course, they do say chopsticks for kids...but aren't we all young at heart?

Say Anything

B's Gift
Originally uploaded by pillworm1.
Yesterday Bill and I had our 8 year anniversary! Such a goofy and girly thing to celebrate, but I just have to. I had a "Say Anything" moment and got him a pen. Bill has an affliction for pens so I got him a nice Waterman. I was hoping he wouldn't also have a "Say Anything" moment and think I was dumping him like Lloyd Dobler...but he didn't even know what I was talking about! He took me out for a nice dinner at Silva's Sheldon Inn, our all time favorite restaurant.
So, 8 years under the belt and more to come I'm sure. So, when we get married do we start counting all over again??

Davis

davis band
Originally uploaded by pillworm1.
Hung out in Davis this weekend with friends. Went out to Sophia's for some drinks and there happened to be a band that night. There were some CRAZY instruments played by this band. A nice string/bucket base was brought out and something that resembled the love child of a violin and trumpet. It was actually pretty interesting music and the accordian player had a pretty fantastic voice. Entertaining none the less! Plus, they have delicious Lava Lamps here!

New Thomas O'Brien Bedding

new bedding
Originally uploaded by pillworm1.
Ok, so had to post my other Target find! I got some new bedding for the spare bedroom. Like I said before, big bedding sale. So, the whole ensemble (duvet, shams, throw, pillows, skirt, sheets) was about $60 total...can't beat that!
The best thing, which you can't really see, is the mirror on the wall. Around the mirror are frames for pictures. Came out sooo cute, and I'm happy to say they didn't all end up filled with Louie.

Marine World

Frances and I went to Marine World this weekend and had a BLAST! We got soaked on the log ride (that literally went up and came right back down.) I also discovered that Frances isn't that into the rides. Unfortunately I didn't realize this until we were suspended in mid-air on a ride! She made it through though and we just stuck to rides that didn't go upside down!!

The haul
So, Bill and I started harvesting our popcorn for this year. This is something fun we have done every year and typically try to give out as Christmas gifts along with our "Bill's Dills." We got a decent crop this year, but definitely not as much as last. We still have alot more steps to do: dry out completely, remove kernels (ouch), jar and label. I'll post more progress as it's completed but you can see pictures of what we've done so far on Flickr.com.
